It's getting more popular here year after year. Here are a few American chains in the ROK
I will say this about the Western foods here. It's better here than at home in the States. I kid you not. I don't know what it is, but it honestly tastes better. Whenever I have my camera and I run into some more places, I'll post them.

There is a Krispy Kreme near/in Sinchon. I nearly choked when I saw it. Just 3 months ago I lived near the original KK in Atlanta. Unfortunately, they were closed when I was there. Darn.
Have you tried a Pizza Hut pizza though? They are "localized" for the domestic market. They look pretty strange. There's plenty of Burger King,
Also there are hundreds of Starbucks cafes, at least six on Yeoido island alone.
Body Shop is around, but not popular as it is so expensive.
